By creating an account or using FrenchShadow, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
FrenchShadow is an educational tool for French language practice. You may use it for personal, non-commercial language learning. You may not resell, reproduce, or redistribute the service or its content. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
The Free plan includes 5 practice sessions per day with limited content. The Pro plan ($15.00/month or $150.00/year) provides unlimited sessions and all features. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Feature availability may change over time.
Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle via Stripe. You may cancel anytime from your Profile page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We offer a 7-day free trial for new Pro subscribers. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact hello@frenchshadow.com.
FrenchShadow uses AI to generate coaching responses, scores, and feedback. AI content is for educational guidance only and may not always be perfectly accurate. NCLC scores provided are estimates and not official assessments. FrenchShadow is not affiliated with IQAS, Centre de Langue Française, or any official TEF/TCF testing body.
FrenchShadow and its content (scenarios, UI, coaching logic) are owned by FrenchShadow. Your practice responses and vault entries remain yours. You grant us a licence to process your content to provide the service.
FrenchShadow is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for exam outcomes, indirect damages, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding any claim.
We may update these terms and will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
